Sophos client version on EC server

Hi Everyone

I have a Windows 2000 server running EC v4.0, so not exactly up to date here...

A couple of weeks ago the client on that server, and all my other clients were automatically upgraded by EC from v9.5 to 10.06.  Since then EC server has become very unstable and I have had to reboot it several times.  I am thinking now of downgrading the client on the EC server back to v9.5.

My question is, is it OK for the client on an EC server to be older than the other clients support by the EC?  Is there any kind of link between EC and its client version, or is it irrelevant?

Thanks

  • Hello toasty,

the v10 client uses more resources than v9

maybe, won't rule it out. If you have the database on the same server - there might be some opportunity the free a few more resources if you need them. Not much perhaps but it might make a difference.
