How to change the CID from S0XXX to S0XXX via registry keys/GPO

I have over 700 active endpoints. Due to an error, our Support Desk installed Sophos AV using the wrong CID. The incorrect CID has since been removed. I have a lot of endpoints that still show their status as looking at the old CID.

How can I correct those machines via a GPO/registry key(s)? The Support Desk tells me that they're "too busy" to take care of their error. Some endpoints are locked with Deepfreeze, but those can be taken care of from the Deepfreeze console.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

  • Hello AndrewKatafiasz,

GPO/registry key(s) are not what you should look for when the endpoints are managed by SEC - are they? Instead, applying an updating policy with the correct subscription (for the subscription <-> Snnn mapping use the console's View->Bootstrap locations ...) should remedy the situation. AutoUpdate saves the policy under ProgramData so you should unlock/lock the endpoints as needed.
