Sophos Data Protection (DLP) Best Practises

Hi All, I am in the midst of deploying Sophos Data Protection (DLP). I understand Sophos positions this product to prevent accidental data loss. But i found some really glaring issues with the DLP

Previously we disabled remote files scanning on the On-Access scanner due to performance issues. Now i discovered, if this is not turned on, Sophos DLP cannot detect violations if the file is copied from a remote drive into a local USB drive. This really bothers me because my users have alot of file shares and normally the sensitive stuff are all there.

Does Sophos have any best practises in terms of deploying Sophos DLP for a enterprise?
