Sophos File Extension exclusion - On Access

When doing exclusions for file types is it better to exclude them from the Extensions Tab just using the extension or from the Windows Exclusion using the wildcard and extension..

ie. Extensions exclude type PKG or Windows Exclusions *.PKG
