Product 10.3: Installation of product SAVXP failed because of an unexpected error.

In an attempt to fix this error I have just re-installed 10.3, but the failure to update remains:

Update log: Installation of product SAVXP failed because of an unexpected error Module: ALUpdate

Win 7 Event Viewer: Exception caught in CInfrastructureModule::PreMessageLoop.

Any help appreciated!

Hello DSPREAD,

please first see SAV Service Failure .... Did you encounter this error when immediately installing for the first time (how did you install, Protect Computers?), i.e. SAVXP has never been properly installed and is not under Programs and Features?
