Meltdown and Spectre

Hi

Meltdown and Spectre are 2 security vulnerabilities on a processor that can allow an attacker to read other process and kernel memory.

It can be used with Javascript to access memory form the web browser. I can be used in a container or a VM to access other containers/VM memory

Is InterceptX tested against this attacks?

Best regards

  • Hello

As far as I am concerned, I'm stuck here:

And that's what Sophos's WEB page says:

Preview subscription: Sophos AutoUpdate Version 5.10.139
Recommended subscription: Sophos AutoUpdate Version 5.7.533
Previous Recommended subscription: Sophos AutoUpdate Version 5.7.533

So I'm definitely not upgraded.  Well at least not with Sophos.

  • To let everyone know.

The registry key in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\QualityCompat" has started to appear in our desktops.

I am not sure how circumstantial it is, but it seems to happen only after many updates from our motherboard OEM/Intel duo, including UEFI update.

Microsoft patch is also applied to Windows 10 version 10.0.16299.192.

I'm gonna toast a full week on this ...
