Server Protection vs Advanced Endpoint

We currently run the Sophos Endpoint Advanced Protection agent on all of our endpoints, clients and servers. We have never had any issues with this running on our servers and are very happy with everything.  Just looking for anyone's advice/experience on upgrading the agent on our servers to Sophos Server Protection. Is the additional cost worth the additional server features/protection?

  • Hello dv833,

according to the Server Protection Licensing Guide there are two options. All Server Protection locenses include Sophos for Virtualized Environments, The SEC/Enterprise option also the stand-alone UNIX version (there's no longer a managed one) and CryptoGuard.
If you don't need Unix and don't consider SVE them SP essentially buys you CryptopGuard (the part of Endpoint Exploit Prevention that's also available for servers) which can be licensed as an add-on. Note that you can license EXP (which covers servers and endpoints - on the latter you've also the proper Exploit Prevention) independent of your SESC license, i.e. you don't have to match the number of SESC licenses.

This doesn't really answer your question is it worth but I hope it helps.
