Can't update.

Trying to update, brings me the message: "Sophos Anti-Virus is not configured to update".

What is the proper command for updating?

PS. I have autoupdate disabled.

TIA! :-)

G.

  • Hello G.,

how did you install Sophos? Normally you configure an update location during install.
To view the current configuration or set an update location use the /opt/sophos-av/bin/savsetup command.

BTW: Why don't you want to automatically update?

I downloaded from the official page and went through ./install.sh

I skipped it, because I don't want-need on access scanner.

Only from time to time an on-demand directory scanning (without many files).

Downloading an a daily basis the updates, I think its a bit pointless.
