CAPITA SIMS upgrade fails when running with Central Intercept X/Exploit Prevention

We've received reports from customers regarding software CAPITA SIMS not being able to upgrade successfully when Intercept X/Exploit Prevention feature is running. 

CAPITA SIMS is a software primarily used by UK Schools.

Our Development team is investigating. Currently the only workaround available is as follows:

Workaround

  1. Disable Tamper Protection
  2. Disable the HitmanPro.Alert Service
  3. Reboot the Endpoint
  4. Allow the SIMS Upgrade to proceed
  5. Enable the HitmanPro.Alert Service
  6. Reboot the Endpoint

P.S. Don't forget to re-enable Tamper Protection
