Application control policies, apps still being allowed??

Ive setup an App policy for a device, it blocks everything except what i need.  But im getting popups where apps are being allowed which shouldnt.

Why could this be?

Do i need user & device policy?

  • Hi JK,

I had the same problem.  The solution (workaround?) was two-fold:

    1. Change the policy to target by computer and not by user.  Perhaps in your case it needs to be by user instead of PC - it might depend on the app.
    2. Uncheck the box for [Detect controlled application during scheduled and on-demand scans].  Basically this isn't needed if you are doing on-access scanning.  Also, support informed me that the wording is very poor for a detection by saying "allowed" when it is in reality blocking it.

    Hope this helps.
