I think that the detection is on par with other AV scanners, as far as I can tell, but what annoys me is the lack of simple QoL improvements on their Sophos Central Admin page.
Off the top of my head there are three things that make me regret purchasing this system for our company.
1. Lack of notification customization.
This is such a basic feature it kills me. If you are going to make it so Admins get emails then make a way for them to limit the amount of emails they receive.
2. When searching clients you cannot enter in a partial name of a computer
For instance if the computer is Something-Computer I couldn't search comp and have it bring up something-computer. I would have to search some and then it would pull up everything with some in the beginning part of the computer name. This is a simple searching feature, basic UI stuff.
3. UI lags when scrolling through or working with the computers in the list
The UI constantly hangs and lags as it's trying to pull the machines. I would love to search the machines so then it doesn't lag as much, but the search feature does not work as expected.
Overall I'm frustrated with Sophos and their priorities on updates. We will be moving to a different solution after the end of our license term because of the difficulty I have experienced with the cloud management and lack of basic functionality.
