Encryption policy won't re-apply

So we have encryption policies working fine. However, a unique situation came up where we had to remove a computer from the policy (Windows 10 Enterprise) and de-crypt so we could clone the HDD to another drive. I then re-added the computer to the policy but no amount of syncing/updating/rebooting can get the encryption policy to re-apply and have Bitlocker encryption fire off again. What are we missing here?

    i met the same issue.

    after uninstallation of encryption from "manage the endpoints software", on this PC ; and put the PC on a encryption disabled policy.

    i reinstalled the encryption software, put the PC in a encrypting strategy, that make things gone right, i could re encrypt the computer
