New install (after an uninstall) Im seeing that policies that apply to a group that a user is part of do not apply but if the user is added directly the policy will apply.
Example: Web Control is applied to 0 users but is applied to a test group. My user is in this test group and shows that is the case when looking at the user Summary tab. On my computer no web control is on, i can browse to anything. I disabled tamper protection so i could see the settings tab and web control isn't on. If I add my user directly to the web control policy and then go to about>Update web control will turn on.
This is the top policy.
However removing the user from the policy directly leaving only the group then updating, web control stays on and doesn't turn back off. There are still other policies that are not turning on that I have not made any changes to.
My concern is that its not just me that other polices for other users that are not turning on. In Central the computer object reports that the polices are there but they are not actually turning on.
