UNC Path Exclusion For Server Lockdown

Having an issue where we run a few programs via a UNC path in a shortcut.

In testing the 'lockdown server' feature this blocks the application from running.

Is there a way to add an exclusion for these network paths? Every thing I have tried in adding the exclusion throws up 'Path is Invalid'

Thanks,

Tim

  • Hi

Are you running those programs after enabling Server Lockdown or before?

  • Programs have been run before lockdown, as soon as we enable lock down we have issues.  If we change the shortcuts to drive letters and map the UNC path to this letter, we can then add the exclusion in Sophos central as R: for example and then it works. This is not a feasible solution for all of our programs though. Surely not being able to add a UNC path would be nothing more than an oversight? I am sure previous version of Sophos products have had this feature.
