Force policy compliance like in the Enterprise console?

In the Enterprise Console, we had the option to force policy compliance on endpoints. I've looked around in Sophos Central and don't see that anywhere. Just wondering if I am missing something.

In reference to error:  "A computer does not comply with the Sophos Central policy"

  • Sophos Central uses a different workflow than Enterprise Console.

Central will automatically send a comply with policy request to the endpoint if it reports that it differs from policy, once it has reached 20 minutes of reporting differs. If it still reports differs for a longer time, then it is possible that there is something locally preventing the policy from being applied.

(Side note: In the local Endpoint GUI in Settings you can enable an override to allow you to adjust policies for 4h without override from Central)

I recommend running the Endpoint Self Help tool, a new feature we included in 11.5.3. Open the local GUI, then click About->Run Diagnostic Tool. Wait about 30 seconds and then select the Policy item to see when the last time the Endpoint received a change in policies. This should help narrow down the focus of where the problem might be.

Is there a way to manually disable the override mentioned above before the 4 hours are up?

Also, can the 4 hour override be changed to a different amount of time?  Like, 2 hours?

    Thank you,

    Alicia
