Sophos Endpoint for Linux (Standalone) - USERNAME & PASSWORD Issue

I am trying to install Sophos Endpoint for Linux (Standalone). During the installation process, it asks me for my USERNAME and PASSWORD. When I use my Sophos ID email address as my USERNAME and my Sophos ID as my PASSWORD, Sophos is unable to update its virus definitions after installation because it says that I am using the wrong USERNAME and PASSWORD.

I searched the Internet for a solution and found a reference that my USERNAME and PASSWORD are apparently contained in the Licence or in a LIcense.pdf file. I never received such a file from Sophos.

Which USERNAME and PASSWORD should I input during installation in order to enable updates?

Thank-you

  • Hi  ,

Thank you for reaching out to our Community Forum. May I know where did you purchase your license? After purchasing the license, did you receive a confirmation email? The license credentials are usually provided in the PDF file included in the confirmation email.

If you still can't locate your credentials, please reach out to our Customer Care team so they can further assist. You may raise a case through our Support Portal. For urgent assistance, you may also reach them by phone, the numbers are listed on the same website under "For Critical Cases".

    Thank you.

  • Again, I am using the Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux Free Edition ver 9x
