Real time scanning slowing developer systems

Real Time sanning is (or seems to be) causing major performance issues for our developers when they are creating a project using yarn to assemble the repositories, even if they have cached the files or have them in a local repository. Can the scans be scheduled with more granularity? The environment is Ruby/Rails on Macs.

  • Hello Dennis,

Thank you for reaching the community forum. Have you performed path exclusion on your policy for real-time scanning? If you’re with Sophos won't touch those apps. You can apply path exclusion for Real-time scanning. Also, if the apps you use for assembly are known, you can add the apps on the exclusion for HMPA to exclude it from scanning.
