Encrypted USB sticks blocked by Sophos Central

Hi,

we work with "DriveLock" encrypted USB sticks.

Without Sophos "File scan" the USB stick run with Autorun.inf and DlMobile.exe, and then you can enter your password.

When the File Scan of Sophos Central is activated the DlMobile.exe do not start.

The DlMobile.exe is in the exclusions but it do not work.

Best regards,

Thomas

  • Hi,

    I have new informations:

    The Application DriveLock.exe (C:\Program Files\CenterTools\DriveLock\DriveLock.exe)

needs exclusive rights to open the USB stick - especially before Sophos.

    Best regards

    Thomas

  • Do you know if disabling scanning components from the Sophos UI allows the USB to behave normally, or are you only able to get this to work with Sophos fully uninstalled?

If we can narrow down which scanning components are involved in the issues you're experiencing, we can look into adding the correct exclusions.
