Updates Fail In Endpoint Defense

The errors you’re seeing have to do with the end of support for Windows 7 machines running Sophos AV managed from the "Sophos Enterprise Console". This is the solution that Staples is known to have deployed out on customer devices.

The updating errors you’re seeing won’t go away. If you’re looking for a free AV solution to install on your device, I recommend trying out Sophos Home. It looks like Windows 7 is still supported for Sophos Home as well.

Kushal, thank you for your prompt reply.  Does that program have a firewall to work alongside it?  Finding out that my Sophos suite did not have a firewall was disappointing.

It does not look like the Sophos Home agent can control the Windows Firewall settings.

I was not asking about Windows Firewall, which I prefer not to have on.  By firewall I meant a free program unless Home performs those functions.  A popular one was Zone Alarm, which may be outdated today.  Thanks for getting back.
