Central Admin Password Changed - No Notice

When we tried to connect to Sophos Central this morning to one of our clients using admin account we realized that password were changed. We had access to this account until yesterday evening. We started to check other clients and we found that passwords changed also.

We contact everyone especially for central admin email accounts that we don't monitoring and no one reset passwords. No notification emails received about password reset.

Every affected account managing XG firewalls that reported NOT breached by the recent attack.

How can we see who changed the passwords and when? Are there any logs for admin access in Central? Why did not receive any notification for password change?

  • Hi

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Authentication page has been changed for the Sophos Central. We have implemented the standardized UI login for all the platforms of Sophos.

You can log in to the new portal using your Sophos ID username and password. If authentication is failing, you can reset your password using forgot password.

  • I note that a month or so ago I followed the guidance for preparing for this transition, and when I went to log in today, my username and password did not work.  Resetting my password worked fine, but it seems that something did not go quite as planned.

  • Hi

Apologies for the inconvenience, our team is currently working on this. If you had the same email with SophosID and Central, you can use the password of SophosID.
