API -Token

Hello,

we got a mail from Sophos Central, that our API token expires in 30 days. I consulted the documentation and it says that this token can be sent in global settings in the the general section. But we don´t have an entry there. We only have Tamper Protection - Website Management - Proxy Configuration - Global Exclusions - Allowed Applications - Bandwidth Usage - Reject Network Connections.

I also cannot find this setting anywhere else and I also think we don´t use the Sophos API anywhere.

Do I need to do something or can I just ignore this message?

  • Hi

API token is used for secure access to Security information and event management which helps you to pull new events and alert data from Sophos Central, please find more details here. You can see the "API token management" under Global Settings> Admintration> API token management. Please check if you have any API's listed.

  • Hello Shweta,

thanks for your answer, but I also don´t have it in the Administration section.  There is only AD Sync Settings/Status - Role Management - Federated Sign-in and Registered Firewall Appliances. I don´t have anything regarding API´s on the whole Global Settings page. We have no application which pulls events from Sophos Central, we use only on mail.
