CPU load while installing Windows Update

We are seeing some issues while running windows updates. We are have patch evenings, where we have to spend much more time then we had to after we switched to Sophos because during patching Sophos takes a LOT of CPU cycles for example the image attached

 

 

 

 

can we prevent that from happening ?

    Could you please provide more details on how many machines and on which OS you are seeing this issue? Does some application stop working? Also, did you check if the issue persists after re-installation of the endpoint? What is the version of the Sophos Anti-Virus installed?

    Do you have RCA and/or EDR enabled?  For example, if you look under:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Endpoint Defense\EventJournal\Features\RCA\

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Endpoint Defense\EventJournal\Features\EDR\

    Are these enabled?
