ERROR: talpa.startup: Unable to load Talpa modules - Causing endpoint protection to disable on Centos server

Hi everyone,

Our Sophos dashboard is reporting critical alerts about a centos server's endpoint protection being disabled. When checking the status, Sophos seems to be running but is reporting that the talpa.startup is unable to load talpa modules. Custom kernel modules have attempted to be built with no success: Error: Failed to prepare the source code for build. Contact Sophos technical support.

Kernel version: 5.3.11-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64

GCC Version: gcc (GCC) 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-39)

I think kernel 5.3 is not yet supported.
