unable to manage Sophos XG from Central Admin

Hi,

following the article on how to setup central mgmt through Central Admin for Sophos XG firewall, we succeeded to setup this.

However, once we choose to manage the firewall, the following message appears, but nothing happens.

 

Any idea where to look for?

  • I get this a lot with the Firewall when trying to manage it from SC(Sophos Central). Seems very intermittent but gets annoying when its the only way you can log into your firewall at the time. But it has been logged with Sophos Tech to have a look at, i see it happens to quite a bit of users so its clearly on their side that needs to be patched and not our side of the config.

  • It is more likely to be caused by the XG in such cases. 

    There is a services running on XG, which connects the XG to Central and opens the Channel to connect to webadmin.

    Daemon gets some dev love right now to get way more robust.
