Global Settings - Email Notifications

I went into this area and there is a padlock next to the item.

When I go in it says that the Sophos Partner has to change these settings. Well, I am logged in as Sophos Partner and the same thing for all Sophos Central customers that I manage.

Am I missing another area?

    It seems that Partner control is turned on and hence when you launch any of the Sophos central customers dashboard, you are unable to configure the email alerts for them. You can turn Partner control off again if you want your customers to manage their own email alerts. Click Partner control to do this. This also restores any settings previously specified by customers. Also please note you must be a Partner Super Admin to manage email alerts. For more information, please visit this link.     There are several predefined roles for Sophos Central Partner such as Partner Super AdminPartner AdminPartner Help DeskPartner Read-only or Partner Business Admin. There can be multiple administrators with the same role. Kindly refer to this document for more details. I would request you to check the role associated with your email address and then if needed you contact Primary admin for any modification.

    If you are a partner super admin, then you should be able to configure email alerts for customers. However, Could you please share the screenshot from your partner portal account> Settings and policies> Configure email alerts>Partner control. 

  • I go into Portal, Selct customers, select a single customer, then select Global settings and you will see padlock.

    I can go into, Portal, Settings & Policies, Configure email alerts. But that just shows me that I can configure, but that will reflect for me at all customers.

    Please login to your partner portal account> Manage Sophos central> Settings and Policies(on the partner portal dashboard) below screenshot attached for reference and check if the partner control is turned off. 

     

     

    If this option is turned on, then only you will see a padlock next to configure email alerts when you launch Sophos central dashboard for customers. Let me know if you are still facing the issue after disabling the partner control.
