Support for Edge beta (chromium)?

Currently, Microsoft Edge beta version is not supported with Sophos Endpoint products. Only Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge based on IE11 is currently supported. Unfortunately, there is no ETA for the support for the Microsoft Edge beta version, it may be supported once it is of the beta version.

Edge Beta is now in Release Candidate and goes live in Jan. 

When will this be supported?

We may not confirm when exactly it will be supported officially but will be supported once it is out of beta and goes live.

I still discuss this with my Support specialist team and will let you know.

We are now just over a month away from the GA date January 15, 2020. Really be good to get this supported now so it can be tested before launch.

We understand your concern for the testing of the product before pushing it to production environment.

It is hard to test beta version browser currently as they might be continously changing the software to provide a better experience to the customer but still, we'll let you know once we have any update on the support of the Edge (Chromium).

I have 10.8.6 SAV on my Windows 10 client and it supports it.

Have to tried the new features EAP of Central?

Apologies for the delays in getting back to you. It may work with 10.8.6 SAV but it might not function as intended as it is not officially supported as of now. As previously stated by Jasmin the list of our supported browsers will be updated once the new Edge browser is released to the general public and we start supporting it.

Any update on this as Edge Chromium is now officially released?
At least Web Category Filtering seems to work now with SEP, Sophos Home doesn't support it actually.

It should work with SEP now but regarding the official support, I'll contact our product support team and will get back to you.

Apologies for the delays in updating the thread, however as Jasmin suggested, it does work with SEP without any issues, though I will check with our team and shall update this thread if it is added under-supported browsers list now.

I have confirmed with my Support team and it is officially supported for both Cloud-managed Endpoints and SEC managed Endpoints.

Please refer to this document which has excel file and there you'll find the browser support option/tab in the excel. It has now mentioned Microsoft Edge (Chromium).
