Block certain type of file extensions using Sophos Central

We have deployed Sophos central across the organisation. Was wondering if there is a way to block certain file type extensions ( mp3, avi) and similar.

Been reading the forum posts from 2017 and there have been a few requests for it. Is there a way Sophos would be able to scan and detect these file type extensions.

    We cannot block specific file type extensions such as mp3 or avi, however, it is possible to block certain applications using Sophos Application control. You would use Application control to prevent users from running applications that are not a security threat, but that you decide are unsuitable for use in your workplace environment. Kindly refer to this article to block/allow certain applications by applying application control policy in Sophos Central.
