Good Day,

I have received the following high alert on Sophos Central and would like some assistance of what could be the cause for this alert.

Safe Browsing detected browser Google Chrome has been compromised

How does one investigate whether this alert is a real threat or not ?

Hi Jacques Kennedy

If you have a number of alerts showing the same in your Sophos client, Please gather the Sophos Diagnostic Utility logs using this link.

Once it is collected, open a support case using this link and mention the above event and ask them to check whether it is false positive or not.

You may also want to uninstall chrome, then manually uninstall the user data it leaves behind in the user folders, then reinstall, extra safe step.
