We use dropbox extensively for files here. Dropbox often says to reload so that files get resynced.
Whenever a user downloads the dropbox installer from https://www.dropbox.com/install, they get a message saying "Low reputation download detected" and Sophos recommends deleting the installer.
Is there a way to prevent this?

I just checked this and was able to reproduce this issue on my machine. The recommended solution is to submit the file to Sophos labs to get the reputation updated. The second solution is to disable download reputation(not recommended): https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122010
