Re-Installing Endpoint through Sophos Central.

So I've been searching around but can't find anything specific. Is there no way to initiate a background reinstall of the Endpoint client on a remote computer through Sophos Central so I don't have to struggle with getting as user to allow me to remotely connect to their system or me needing to physically travel to another site for a simple re-install?

  • We do have installations automated in a couple of these ways. My issue is initiating a re-install without the user being aware or needing to go sit at the computer in person or remotely. I was able to do this on a competing product a decade ago so I'm surprised I can't do that here. I guess there may be technical or security reasons for not allowing it, but it more feels like just something that hasn't been implemented because no one has bothered to add it as a feature.

    You're right, it would be best to have that as a feature! It has been suggested here so do vote for it for more visibility to Product Management.
