Customers may receive an email advising their AWS connection has reported an error:

What happened: An AWS connection has reported an error
Where it happened: AWS ID: ********

How severe it is: High
What Sophos has done so far: n/a
What you need to do: Log into your Sophos Central Admin console and navigate to Settings > AWS Accounts. Click on the error icon for the affected AWS account to see details of the problem. For details on how to resolve the issue see: Troubleshooting Sophos Central connections to AWS
In Sophos Central, the AWS connection in Sophos Central will display a red status with an error 'The credentials provided for your AWS account are invalid.' pointing to ap-east-1:
This is caused by the creation of a new region in AWS that by default is disabled:
- Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) region
Due to the region being disabled access is blocked and results in the error.
