Installation errors attempting to install Sophos on servers

Hi

I am having an issue installing the sophos agent on our servers - pre checks pass - contacting sophos passes - but then I get an error "cannot download"

Logs show the error is: "A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL client credential. The internal error state is 10013." which would imply the actual download requires an encryption protocol our servers do not support - can you advise what protocols are required (only those that are PCI compliant please)

  • What OS are you seeing the issue on?

    Also, can you export:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL

And I would also suggest it might be worth going into the Event log:
    Applications and Services Log
    Microsoft
    Windows
    CAPI2
Enable the Operational log then re-attempt the install.

The event log entries there should be useful.

    Regards,
    Jak
