Does relay server have/use Apache?

Question

I'm a bit of a beginner but I was having trouble understanding this by surfing around for answers, so I was hoping I could find the answer by asking: 
 
 If I use the command: 
 telnet x.x.x.x 8190 (update server's ip) 
 GET / 
 I get the response: 
 HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request 
 Date: [date] 
 Server: Apache/2.4.26 
 etc. 
 etc. 
 
 I was assigned the task of upgrading out of date Apache servers that were detected and this is one of them... but I'm confused as the server doesn't seem to have Apache installed and I didn't know if it was maybe used as part of the message relaying service?

Hi Ben, 
 Thank you for contacting us. Yes, Apache Server is used on Message relay and Update Cache, although only partially. Hence the Apache Server version in use may not be fully updated but is immune to the normal vulnerabilities found on the full versions.

Hi Ben, 
 It is the message relay feature that uses Apache; we are rolling out an update to Sophos Central Server Protection that includes an update to Message Relay that will update Apache to v2.4.37. This update is due to be released to all customers by Thursday 6th December.
