backups failing still an issue?

All, 
 
 some time ago there was a well-known issue with Sophos Server Protection causing backups to fail. I'm still experiencing this issue despite being told by support that it should be resolved. 
 
 I'm hoping there is more accurate information here on the forums.

Hi, we updated our KBA here: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/132691 with a note on how you can address this issue on the backup servers from version 2.0.2 
 We also shared this KBA from MSFT: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4460135/making-vss-shadow-copy-fails-with-vss-ws-failed-at-freeze-error which provides details of the issue with the OS that is causing the error reported.
