unrestricted web access

My organization has officers that must be able to visit ANY web site as they conduct investigations.  What is the best way to do this?  In my search of sophos.com I saw a few hits regarding exempting specified domains.  But I need to permit access to any website for this group.

  • Thought I'd better add that this is for Sophos Central.

  • Hi Scott Shumway,

Allowing unrestricted access to few employees might put them in getting the computers open to get exploited/ vulnerable for infection - Just a caution.

To allow a certain set of computers, put them in a group and set a web control policy separately for these users. Under web control, manually set the action under each section to allow. Under every options, you will have the "View Details" button which will let you manage specific categories. Also, enable the Log Web control events so that you can still keep a track of the user for security purposes.
