The security health cannot be reported at the moment

Client looks healthy in that it shows as protected and up to date in the client GUI.

It was/has been absolutely fine in the Central console but all of a sudden right now it says "The security health cannot be reported at the moment" and has for a couple of days.

What do I need to be looking at?

The Sophos Health service is started/running and rebooting the client doesn't help.

It does have Internet access...

  • Hi Paul Hutchings,

Please check the client status from Sophos Endpoint > About(Right bottom Corner) > Run Diagnostic Tool.

If everything seem to be good can you share the MCS client & Agent log (C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Management Communications System\Endpoint\Logs) from the client?

  • I'm having the same problem as described here.   There are about 10 PCs running Windows 10 showing this error.

I have connected to the Services remotely on a few of these PCs and can see all Sophos services including 'Sophos Health Service' are all running.  I've even stopped and started 'Sophos Health Service' and the error remains in Sophos Central.

I've checked mcsagent and mscclient logs in ProgramData\Sophos\Management Communications System - and no errors showing - just info.

anything else I can check ?

I support these PCs remotely so is difficult to connect directly - but is possible if necessary.

  • Hello

Please go through what Gowtham suggested - please check the client status from Sophos Endpoint > About(Right bottom Corner) > Run Diagnostic Tool.

You should be able to check the different Tabs (Health State, System, Services, etc.) from there; see which one is showing red (needs attention). There will be suggestions of KB articles to look at for guidance.
