Does anyone know about the internal working of Sophos Device Encryption on Mac?

Hello, 
 
 Am trying to identify if Sophos Central Device encryption is activated and if the device is encrypted on a Mac endpoint. Which background process or "piece of information on endpoint" will give me the info which says the Mac is encrypted. 
 
 FYI, Am generating a report to check which endpoints are encrypted.
