Sophos Asks For Admin Credentials When Collecting SDU Logs

Hello All,

 

Did anyone of you face the issue, where Sophos asks for the admin credentials to run the SDU logs? It happened to me so far on 3 different PCs. Windows 10. Sophos Central Endpoint.

    Hello Yashpal Singh Amar,

    were you logged in with an administrator account or not? If not this would be the expected behaviour as the manifest states: requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator".

    Hello Christian,

     

    Thanks for the quick reply! I collect SDU logs from many PCs, Macs without logging in as Admin. The user's don't have admin rights too(by the policy), but I'd be able to collect the logs.

    Hello Yashpal Singh Amar,

    the Central version might be different but I don't think so (and Macs are another thing). As the manifest pertains to UAC - any chance it is off on the many PCs?
