SavService - Multiple PS.exe

Hi Guys,

We have a large virtual environment (VMWare) mix of 2008/R2, 2012/R2 & 2016 - our issue is only affecting 2012+ Windows OS's

The SavService is running but we have a huge amount of spawned 'PS.exe' b/w 50-100 sub-processes per server. We reboot, they go away but return shortly after. Is this normal?

Hello Simon Davis1,

I'm not aware that SAVService.exe should spawn PS.exe processes. What is their image path, any details on the executable?

Hi Simon,

Are these servers running Exchange? If so, which version of Exchange are they running?

If not, is there anything about these 2012R2 servers roles/features that differ from the other servers?
