Add Peripheral Exemptions

Hello,

I was wondering about the 'Add Peripheral Exemptions' fields, I can see that there is only just Model and ID field. What do they mean by ID, is it Model ID or Device ID? When I add a device and I grant access by ID. Which ID exactly ? and if I allow it by Model. Is it Model name or Model ID?

Since on SEC (on-premise) I can see Model, Model ID and Device ID.

Thank you.

  • Hi Obaida Thunibat,

From the Sophos Central console, you can exempt the peripheral devices based on two factors ( Model or ID).

If you exclude based on Model  - it will allow all the devices of the specific model.

If you exclude based on ID - the specific device will be excluded and any other devices of the same model will be blocked.

    Hope it helps.

That means the ID is the Device ID. Thank you.
