Required Restarts / Notifications to Users

Hello, 

Anyone else noticed or overwhelmed by the crazy amount of restarts this product seems to need? I cant get my users to restart once every few weeks, let alone once every couple of days like this product seems to want. Then when you do restart, you often need to mutiple restarts to get back to '"Protected".

Why doesn't Sophos give the user some indication that a restart is needed at least? Their home product does. 

How do people manage this? [Serious question]

What does Sophos recommend to manage this? Because this is not normal for an AV [Aimed at Sophos reps to answer]

  • I'm looking at one customer now. About half of the devices have a "reboot required" alert that is 2 months old. I just want to know why we have to acknowledge that a device needs a simple reboot, even when the machine has already been rebooted in that time?

    I've got so tired of the alerts that I've stopped checking, which isn't good at all I know, but spending time each day just to acknowledge alerts about a machine needing to be rebooted is ludicrous.

  • Oh yeah.. that too.. another massive problem.
