Failed to install ntp64: unexpected error

Since the update last week we are seeing a bunch of these at multiple Central client sites.
Win 10 or Win7, all Pro, no home.
I haven't found any suggested course of action.

We are offsite IT, so any interaction with affected machines needs to be done with an onsite visit, or via an arranged remote support session.

Will an uninstall/reinstall correct this?
As far as I can tell, any Support tickets we enter just result in requests to run 97 different queries, parsing logs, adjusting registry entries, etc.
Should we just uninstall/reinstall and save the hours of time we can't bill the client for?

  • OK,

Next question relative to this error. How important is it?
One client reported they are getting a message that Sophos failed to install.
The message possibly defined more details, the system didn't mail a notice to admin - which is a whole 'nother problem...

But - When I use the console to show "machines with a medium or bad status" his machine is not on the list.
The agent update status shows "update successful" and the status tab shows all green and happy.
