When excluding files & folders, do processes launching from inside those folders get excluded?

Hi,

When excluding files & folders in Sophos Central, do processes that launch from inside that folder also get excluded??

For example, if we exclude the Visual Studio folder (%programfiles(x86)%\Microsoft Visual Studio\), does this simply mean that access to files in that folder are exempt from Real-time/scheduled scanning, or that any process launched from that folder is also exempt?

File/Folder exclusions are different from Process Exclusions so you would need to do both. In your example, processes under the directory given are not excluded.

You can put paths into Process Exclusions though.
