Note: Customers can join early access programs and use EAP features free of charge. Use of all features and functionalities provided under the Early Access Program is subject to the Sophos End User License Agreement.
The New Endpoint/Server Protection Features Early Access Program allows customers to test the latest and greatest endpoint and server features and functionality as they are being developed by Sophos.
See below for descriptions of the the features currently in the Early Access Program:
- 04/11/2021 - CryptoGuard 5 introduces a design change in how our ransomware detection works; resulting in Sophos detecting more ransomware families and protecting more file types and sizes, find more details here.
- 15/10/2021 - HTTPS decryption of browsed websites is now enabled and being performed for both endpoint and server devices enrolled in the EAP. IMPORTANT: For more details on controls to enable/disable, setting up exclusions and other issues to be aware of see here.
- 08/07/2021 - Registry Credential Theft Protection has been extended to protect the SAM database when it is accessed via the registry, see more here.

Enrolling in the early access program is easy, see details in the presentation shared here. Keep in mind that if looking to test functionality on both endpoints and servers you will need to enroll in both the Endpoint and Server protection early access programs available in Central. Unless otherwise stated new features will only be available to devices enrolled in the Early Access program.
