trojan

I recently opened an email that may have contained a trojan. I downloaded & ran the home edition anti-virus scan and nothing was detected. Would this scan cover possible trojans? I understand that a trojan and a virus are not necessarily the same thing.

  • A lot of trojans in spam email are for the Windows operating system so chances are your Mac isn't affected.

If you thought that there was something on disk, you installed SAV and updated it, and you ran a scan and nothing was found you should be OK.
