SophosAutoUpdate connects to strange places (previous thread)

I'm hoping for some advice please.

Like the person in the above thread, I have installed the network monitor Little Snitch and it tells me that Sophos wants to connect to various web sites that are not obviously related to Sophos e.g. :

cdn.tacoda.at.atwola.com

tcr.tynt.com

and strangest of all, a woman's magazine:

www.cosmopolitan.co.uk

There have been some others that I did not recognise, but I did not write them down.

Is it safe to assume that these are all legitimte content providers used by Sophos?

    won't discuss the safe part, the basic assumption is flawed - Sophos does not want to connect to these providers, Sophos connects to a CDN (content distribution network), namely Akamai, and the observed sites use the same CDN. Where AutoUpdate is concerned Sophos has no business relations with these sites, they just happen to contract the same CDN provider. For details please see the mentioned previous thread (SophosAutoUpdate connects to strange places) as well as Sophos Auto Update accesses many domains (see Gustav-Gans' post where to find further information in Little Snitches documentation).
