Two shields

On both computers that I am using, a laptop and a desktop, OS10.7.4, I have suddenly started getting two shields in my finder menubar upon startup.

The only way to eliminate one is to quit Sophos and logout, then log back in, but this doesn’’’’t always work.

Today I used Activity Monitor and found “SophosUIServer” listed twice; I forced quit one, but it came right back. I forced quit the other, and it worked.

What gives?

Anybody else having this issue?

Marty

  • As per the other posted thread, I found that removing SophosUIServer from the startup items list in the Users & Groups Prefs Pane seems to have solved the problem in Lion (Don’’’’t have Mt. Lion yet).

The same remedy works with Mountain Lion
