Exclude drives from scan?

I'd like to remove my startup disk from the Sophos scan -- any way to do this?

When I add it to "Exclusions" it shows as "/", and as "/Volumes" is a sub-directory of "/", I assume this prevents all scanning?

    Which scan are you attempting to remove your root drive from?  On-Access should always scan the root device, although you may want to exclude certain subfolders for some reason.  If you only want to scan a specific drive, in on-demand mode, just create a new custom scan and include the drives you want to scan.  The "Scan Local Drives" option is a hard-wired default that is designed to deep-scan your startup disk and anything else you haven't excluded from your local storage devices.
