Safari-blocked email address

Mac OSX/3.06GHz/Intel core i3/SAFARI: 5.1.7/SOPHOS version: 8.0.5C
Recent SOPHOS download was working fine until today when it blocked my G-Mail account. I had to shut down the anti-virus program. I suppose I could run it intermittently but I'm not sure the same problem won't occur--is there a way to FIX this?

  • What exactly do you mean by "it blocked by G'Mail account"?  The Sophos product has two parts: an on-demand scanner, that runs a scan when you tell it to, and an on-access part that scans any file on your computer for malware when it is accessed.  As your GMail account in Safari is on a remote server, Sophos should not be blocking you from accessing it -- it WILL block you from running downloaded malicious attachments found in your mail account, however.
