black X on Sohpos Menu Bar

I currently have a black  X on sohpos menu bar logo, and in Sophos AutoUpdate Status, this message:  COULD NOT CONTACT PRIMARY SERVER  "Error occured:20 Apr 2012 13:14"

    Me too!  Most of the options in the preferences window were also greyed out.  I ended up deleting Sophos as it was obviously happy on my Mac.  I might try and download version 7 and see if that behaves any better.  Not at all impressed though.
